Mr. Shelly Calhoun, Jr.

Shelly Calhoun was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on March 29, 1949 to Mrs. Eunice Calhoun and Mr. Shelly Calhoun. He spent his early childhood in Texas where he attended Booker T. Washington High School and Booker T. Washington Elementary School. Shelly was raised in a very influential family environment and was baptized and worshipped in Anderson Chapel in Wichita Falls, Texas. Later he enlisted in the Navy and served in the Vietnam War for sometime until returning to the States, where he left Texas and resided in California. Shelly worked at Pacific Gas & Electric Company as an Electrician for 40 years and later retired in Berkeley, California. Shelly was a loving husband, brother, friend, father and relative to all. He will always be remembered for the love and respect he had for his fellowman. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife, Meria Calhoun of Sacramento, CA; a sister, Delores Hicks of Wichital Falls, Texas; a daughters, Tanara Calhoun and QUINTESSA Brown; and son Shell Calhoun. He also leaves behind four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
